A new cat in the family

I'm getting a kitten in a few days from my daughter. She had rescured a mother cat who was young with four kittens. They were outside but she had a house for them. Then one evening a racoon killed two of the kittens which upset my grandchildren so she had taken the remaining two kittens and mother into her home in the downstairs room. One of the kittens is a black cat, female and she reminds me of my Zodiac years ago. I decided with my husband to take the female kitten which I will name Zoey. She is so cute and she will have a good home. Can't wait.

My daughter and grandaughter decided to post this vid on youtube of there cat Budda nickname booty skate boarding. He is the curious cat of the three and the most laidback of the bunch. I was laughing my pants off watching him on this skateboard. I have one crazy family.

Children's Field Day.

On Tuesday and Wednesday this past week Christine and Kyle had there field day. School is over this week for them and summer vacation. They can't wait. Enjoyed myself watching them participate with there events. Here are some pictures:

First two pictures are Christine at the 60 mile dash and tug of war with her team. The last two picture are of Kyle in the sack race and getting his ribbon with a team mate. They both did well and we enjoyed the fun those two days.

Today is such a sad day for me. Seven years ago on my mothers birthday my sister passed away. I still can remember her not coming that mothers day from Jersey and telling us on the Friday that she would come the following week because she was busy with work schedules. The most hardest thing I had to do was tell my mom who was around 84 years old that her daughter passed away. It's also my moms birthday she would have been 91 years old. I can't believe that she is gone but never forgotten. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM, LOVE YOU, MISS YOU, WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.

Today I celebrated my husband's birthday. I have taken him to the Harbor Crab Company and enjoyed a great meal. Tomorrow the grandkids and my daughter are coming over for dinner and cake. We really enjoyed ourselves and I'M glad to have a wonderful guy like him. Hope to celebrate many more birthdays with him.

Dennis is Taurus and I'm a Sag. In horoscope books they say we are not a match but what do they know. We have been together forever. Happy Birthday to my favorite Taurus from your crazy Sag.

The garden

This weekend been a working weekend. I just finished cleaning up the leaves, pine needles and other debrie from the lawn. My Christine came to help and what s terrific helper she is. I have 48 bags to various needles and leaves and now the lawn is cleared. Now I'm just going to spread some grass seed, trim some bushes. Since I'm a treehuger I'm not going to poison the lawn with the pest control junk. Have to take care of mother EARTH and teach the grandkids how to take care of the planet.

MAJOR SNOW STORM IN THE NORTH EAST.

It's seems that New York, New Jersey, the northeast and some southeast states were hit with a major snow storm. My job closed today and I'm getting ready to do some shoving with my husband. We have atleast 10 inches of snow on the ground. I hope Geoffrey has his snow gear with him. I guess the idls of March are here. Hope spring comes soon, this snow is really getting to me.

Nana has passed on

This morning around 2:45 AM the hospital called to let us know that Nana had passed away. She was in the hospital since November 2nd till now with lung cancer. We will all miss her especially the grandchildren but at least we have the last fond memory of the pumpkin picking day in October and Holloween. She had a blast and that's what counts. Now she is in pease.

I checked out the website, saw the prices. One thing is for sure I can't get the premium seats. I'm on a budget and I don't want to go overboard. I'm checking the seating arrangements and hopefully I'll see what I can get. I'm going to wait since I have a family emergency right now. My mother in law has lung cancer and she has been in the hospital for the last two months. The doctors told us that she is not expected to live.

This past year and now this year has sucked. First my mother died in June and now my mother in law soon. They can't say how long and she does have a breathing tube in her but they told us she will die the cancer spread.

I have high hopes and with a little luck can see Geoffrey.

I can't believe that Christmas is almost here. I'm trying to keep it simple this year for the kids. I hate all the commercial bull crap with the retails trying to make you buy expensive things. It's really hard times for most people so I decided to give back.

I'm giving my daughter and grandkids some gifts and have been sending money to many organizations to help the animals, kids and poor. My husband and I agreed that instead of giving each other gifts we would help others who need it. We're not rich but I think the satisfaction of giving to those who need it brings out the spirit of Christmas in me.

I hope things get better for everyone, people losing there homes, jobs especially the middle class it a disgrace. For me Christmas is a time of giving and that's what I decided to do. We all should go back to the olden day when this time was for family, friends and those in need

Thanksgiving is coming

Next week on Thursday its Thanksgiving Day. It usually starts with lots of cooking. We are have turkey, sweet potatoes, mash potatoes, squash, vegtables, turnips and pies with whip cream and coffee. My daughter, my son-in-law and the kids are coming. My mother-in-law was to be here but she became sick and is in the hospital. I pray for her recovery, we will stop by to see her. I love watching the Macy's Day parade and seeing all the floats and the marching bands. It's usually states that Christmas is around the corner. Thanksgiving here in the states is for giving thanks and getting the family and friends together.

Today I had the day off for Columbus day and we went pumpking picking at the local farm. My husband, I, my daughter Jen and grandkids Christine and Kyle. We had a blast. I even fell off a pumpkin.

I just needed to write this down today. Sometimes I love to choke some of the people I work with. I love to talk and interacting with people but lately in work some of them are getting on my nerves, especially my Lead who is under my manager. She is a real pain in the ass. Always has her favorites and god forbid you are an individual like I am. I will never be a kiss ass. I know my job, do it well and will never kiss up. Why do insecure people like her think that everyone has to kiss her ass. She is such a fuck up and forever talking about herself and never getting her job done. I blame the manager, she's a nice person but she lets her get away with this crap.

Thank god it's Friday and I have the weekend off. I need those two days to recope from the crap in work. AH, feel better. I just needed to get that off my chest. I think that why I can cope, being on the journal, my space, facebook you get to meet interesting people who actually make you laugh and enjoy the same things.

MY COMPUTER

Decided to put the computer together on my own. Found the connections and was able to get the computer going. I felt good because this is the first time I actually set up the computer. When my son-in-law came to pick my grandaughter up he was so surprised that it was up and running.
I really proud of myself, of course my Christine helped me a little. We were able to surf the net. I really missed being on the computer. I guess you can say I'm addicted to it. So thank god I back on line.

My computer is down and have to use the library computer. Called the cable company and was told it my ethernet card. I had it fix and my son-in-law is going to help me tonight to set the computer up. It really sucks when the computer craps out. Hope to be back on line soon.

I have been slacking on my journal entries since I joined Flixter and Fan Fiction. I'm having a blast on Flixter with the quiz, checking our movies and talking to some live jounnal friends and meeting some new friends. I've also been on fan fiction reading some of the fan stories. Some of the stories are great, stories on Norrington, Becket and even Anna Marie. Some of my favorites besides Jack Sparrow and Barbossa are the ones for Davy Jones. Fan have interesting views on the romance between Jones and Tia. I miss fan Lib alot but some of the writers I know on fab lib are now on fan fiction.

Can't believe September is rolling around, kids are going to be back in school and beach time is over. Well, alwasy next year. Can't wait for Holloween, dressing up as pirates again with my daughter and grandkids. I trying to get my husband to do it and it seems he might with a little convincing dress as a priate ARR.

Taking the kids to Borders tonight, I know it will cost me those little pirates, but I love them so and glad when it puts a smile to there face when they find what they want. Nothing wrong in buying books to inspire there minds.
